Job Title: Project Manager / Estimator

Company Background:

Associated Paving and Material Ltd. is a Municipal, Industrial and Residential construction Company specializing road construction. Our services include Asphalt Paving, Concrete works, Excavation and Grading.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct & oversee construction projects from start to completion while monitoring compliance with safety and road construction regulations.
  • Prepare internal and external reports relating to job status, daily progress, estimates and deliverables.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and the construction team to meet contractual obligations.
  • Review project requirements to determine and organize work, equipment, and labor requirements.  Interpret project specification and develop/apply change orders/daily work records as required.
  • Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel to resolve construction issues to minimize delays and maximize efficiency to ensure a smoothly run project.
  • Communicate with responsible parties to ensure that the quality construction exceeds company standards and proper industry standards are utilized ensuring that the client’s needs are met
  • Attend coordination and production meetings to address any issues related to the project.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvements by identifying new practices that will contribute to the overall success of the project and company
  • Maintain close contacts with client’s and their representatives to ensure their overall satisfaction
  • Work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment to plan and coordinate all aspects of the schedule requirements.

Prerequisites:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in civil and road construction project management
  • College diploma or equivalent
  • Methodical, accurate and consistent attention to detail while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organization and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Class G or equivalent driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment; Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
